As a part of Carl Johan Erikson’s and Björn Larsson’s research project Vägra döda, the book ‘Direktupphandling av kortfilm om medicinsk åldersbedömning’ and accompanying film, will be presented on Wednesday, September 5th 18:00, at Filmform, Svarvargatan 2 in Stockholm.
The book contains publicly available documents requested from Rättsmedicinalverket – RMV (National Board of Forensic Medicine). The documents deal with the production of an information film produced in 2016-2017 on behalf of RMV. The film’s target group is asylum-seeking young people who cannot prove their age with identity documents.
The publication can be seen as an attempt to highlight overall social structures by studying a limited part of the Swedish government bureaucracy. The book is published as a part of Vägra döda – historier om de vapenfria männen, an artistic research project by Carl Johan Erikson and Björn Larsson. The project is funded by the Swedish Research Council and is hosted by KKH.
Invited conversation guests are writer Annika Wik who works with research and knowledge development in film and contemporary art, the artist/filmmaker Antonie Frank Grahamsdaughter and doctor and human rights activist Henry Ascher.
NB: The event is free but pre-registration is required as the number of seats is limited.
